Topic: Creating TOC for multiple PDF's

I have a large document that I have split into several smaller PDF files. I would like to have one PDF file with a splash page that has a table of contents, using bookmarks, to all of the other PDFs.

Creating the document with the bookmarks is easy, but what I need to know is if there is a way to open the linked PDF files in the same window, allowing the TOC (bookmarks) to always remain on the screen, giving the user constant access to all of the files that we are making available.

Is this possible? Or if there is a better way to do what I need, I'm open to options.
