Topic: text over graphic disappearing

Hi... I have a short document (5 pages) in Word. I created a nifty graphic that I want to appear under the title... word swears I've put the image in back of the text and in the same file I have a box in back of tesxt which is working just fine... how come my text isn't showing up in the first case? In fact, after I distill, and go look, the text flashes really quickly over the drawing than goes away... what do I do?
oh, using adobe acrobat 4x... thanks
