Just so, it is not possible, because when you can view something on
your client machine, it has already been downloaded.
One thing you could try, maybe you might be successful, is contacting
Adobe and see if you somehow still can get a licence for their
defunct Adobe Document Server. This server-based application renders
PDF documents page wise, and sends the result to the web browser.
Depending on your settings, it can be either just an image, or it can
be an image with more or less hidden text.
BTW, please don't post HTML formatted messages on the forum/mailing list.
