Topic: html -> Word -> pdf ==> page size problems

Posted on behalf of Roger Sperberg:

I have an html file I want to make into PDF. It has 28 sub-sections each beginning with an <h2> head.

When I use Open Web Page, I lose the Page Break Before setting with the <h2> heads, and I have to create all the bookmarks to these sub-sections manually.

So I pulled the documentinto Word to try the PDFMaker.

When the page is 8.5 x 11 things work swimmingly -- all the bookmarks are created automatically and things look great -- but the whole thing is unreadable on such a large page.

Setting the page to 5.5 x 6.75 works fine in Word. But no matter what I do, I can't get the PDF at that size. What I get is the text at 5.5 on a page width of 8.5 or so, and the top of the text is chopped off, and the page size is 6.75. (When I say "chopped off" I mean I lose the sub-section heading and the first few lines, as well as the header, for each page.)

I've fiddled with the job options and conversion settings. I always get full-width page with text set to the width it is in Word and lose the top of the material, no matter what I do.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
