Topic: Scale down PDF on-the-fly from Quark

Hope someone can help me out here;
We use Quark's pdf filter here to generate PDF's
directly from within Quark. This is great as the
creation of the postscript file and distillation into
PDF is all handled in one go, but it doesn't allow
the pages to be scaled down before the PDF is
created. Quark's PDF filter seems to ignore scaling
info in Page Setup when it creates the postscript
file so you always get a pdf document the same
size and dimensions as the original Quark doc.
Does anyone out there know of any third party
utilities that create PDFs in one step but also allow
you to scale down the file as you go (and ideally
create a custom-sized PDF document rather than
scaling down the quark doc and sticking it in the
middle of an A4 PDF file which then has to be
cropped)?
Hopefully,
