In an MS-Word 97 document, I have a large table
(12 columns x 25 rows) that includes shading and
hash marks in many of the cells plus text boxes
in many of the cells. When printing from Word
to my HP LaserJet 4 the hashes/shading and
text boxes print exactly. When I distill the
document in Acrobat v4.05 the screen output loses
the hash marks/shading. Thus, when I print the PDF
file on the HP Laser Jet, the hashmarks and shading
are disappear (though the text boxes DO remain).

I have tried adjusting by using various
combinations of graphics resolution (from 144-4000
dpi) and all 4 postscript printing options given
in the MS-Word "Distiller Properties" dialogue box.
Nothing seems to work. The equipment being used is a
486/33 AST laptop with 16Mb of memory. Before you
say anything, YES I know this is a really low end
machine by today's standards but its what I have
to work with. Does anyone have any suggestions or is
this Mission Impossible?

Thanks
