I am not familiar with ACT, so my comments might sound a bit stupid...
If you can create a field in your ACT database which is of text type,
and not of a given fixed length, and you can assemble text consisting
of fixed strings plus values from your database, then you can
assemble FDFs with your database, and export them the usual way. This
FDF can then be imported into the form.
If you can cantrol your database from a webserver, you can also
create FDFs via the server, and then get the data out to the form.
