Hi, I am trying to import data from a tab delimited text file to populate a form using the importTextData JS method in Acrobat 5. The column headers are also tab delimited. This is pretty straight forward as far as setting it up goes. The problem is when I try to import from several different files by changing the path and file name. Even though the format is the same for each file, some of files crash Acrobat and some don't. Locks up as soon as the Javascript is run. I have tried fewer columns and less rows, sometimes it works, sometimes not - even on the same files. Does anyone know if certain types of characters or data cannot be imported, thus causing the program to crash. I have not been able to establish any pattern as to what makes it crash. Any help would be appreciated.
