We have experimented with changing settings in the distiller to achieve a balance in file size with quality.
All experiments went out the window when printed from NT or Win 2000. With the same distiller settings, a file goes from 356k printed from Win ME to 1,063k when printed from Win 2000. Both were printed to a file from Pagemaker 6.5.
I have been testing with Adobe plugins, Quite a Box of Tricks, and that will only shrink the file to 786k, which helps...but why so much difference?
Has anyone experienced this problem? Any way to resolve these issues to get the smaller, good quality file?
