Here's a useful trick in Acrobat 5.0.

Use Tools > PDF Consultant > Audit space usage.

This will show you where the space is being used, and you can see what is so much larger.

You should not, however, be using PageMaker 6.5 in Windows 2000. It has serious issues with fonts and printing.
