Please elaborate on the term "flattening". Acrobat 5.0 has a flattening
method, but it "flattens" everything (on a page); all annotations are
converted to bit streams and they are no longer interactive. Can the
applications you cite below locally flatten? That is, flatten one field
leaving another untouched?
