Fortunately, there are no attachments in the mailing list.
Do you have some calculations in the document, or do you have some
document-level scripts or page actions.
All these can make the document become "dirty", which means that it
gets marked as "modified". And then, of course, Acrobat asks whether
to save the modifications.
