there is some strange behavior coming from my fields palette. the form i am developing contains hundreds of fields (perhaps 5 or 6 hundred) and while the palette is very useful to me, i've found many (perhaps a hundred or so) fields listed that simply will not cooperate.

some names in the palette appear to be residue of fields once "played" with but are now deleted, while some merely reflect the names (but not the palette functionality) of current fields. in the latter case, there is a second field of the same name and type that contains all of the palette functionality.

the problem is that i can't delete these phantom fields, try as i might. as you can imagine, this results in very disagreeable field name clutter in the palette. can anybody explain this "phenomenon?"

better yet, can anybody give me a solution/workaround?
naturally, i'd appreciate any help you can give me, immeasurably.
