Thanks again. I am not really in the area of javascript coding etc., so I will rely on your own expertise in this particular area and take your word for it. Here is a question: What exactly do you mean by the code can be GLOBAL.

It is great that you have combined all the code into one doc level function. Anything that makes your life simpler will also make my life simpler. The "Previous" button goes back to image4-3-2-1 and stops but the "Forward" button seems go to image1-2-3-4 and back to image1 again. Can I get the "forward" button to go from image1-4 and then stop just like the "previous" button that you developed.
Otherwise it seems to be working great.

I have another question that you may be able to help me with.

I have two hidden fields in the shape of rectangles and coloured yellow, both fields are called "Yellow". I want to create a button to show the two fields at the same time. I know you can use the show/hide field option to do this but I want the fields to turn on and off every 1-2 seconds or other fixed period of time, i.e be visible/hidden, like two blinking lights until I press the same button to stop this flashing effect of the two hidden fields.
Basically, I want to click a button and then the two yellow rectangles appear/disappear at the same time. This is like a flashing light effect that I want to create in a pdf file. I would possibly like to use this effect to hightlight parts of an image while I use a text field to describe the hightlighted item. Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received.
