Topic: How to print PDF files from AIX ?
Conf: (P-PDF) Developers, Msg: 33070

After generating PDF files using Oracle's ReportWriter, how to get it printed on a networked printer ? Tried Printshop programs, but they have a bug - cannot rotate the paper to landscape format. If I use another utility from pshop, it generates a large file, 3.7 MB per page of PDF doc.
a)Has anybody used ghostscripts for this ? pshop also internally uses this.
b)how about pdf2ps or pdf2pcl utilities ? Where can I download them?
c)Has anyone tried using a NT based print server? If files are printed directly to the queue, whenever printer error happens the printq goes down. To avoid this I am thinking of using a NT-based print server and configure the queue as a remote queue from AIX? I could get ASCII files print fine, but PDF docs, I am having problem !

Any advices ? Pls email to
Thanks a ton.
