im a Visual Basic programmer at a mass-printing facility. one of our clients gives us a PDF every month of around 15,000 pages (10 megs). my software needs to find the beginning page of each invoice in the giant PDF (based on a text search using the Acrobat HiLiteList object), re-collate the invoices based on the number of pages, and add one small image (5k TIFF) to each page. i purchased the ActivePDF ToolKit Pro, and wrote all my code. but the 10 meg PDF i started with became over 1.1 gigabytes. the processing time was over 10 hours. and the time required to spool the 1 gigabyte PDF to a PostScript Spool File was far beyond unacceptable. any ideas on how i can speed up this process, or help control the file size? any help will be most appreciated. thanx.
