Topic: Search with javascript. Query and VDK

I'm developing an interactive pdf which will live on a cdrom. It needs a search function and I was hoping to achieve this simply by placing several buttons in the interface that will execute the search query. In order for this to work, however, there needs to be some sort of javascript code as well as to Know the VDK commands to compound the query with the dates and fields introduced into forms (between dates, and, or near etc)

Does anyone know how to do this?

Also if anyone has any other suggestions o examples!! of something similar to see it would be much appreciated.

This has to work on both pc and mac.

Thanks in advance,
Manuel J.
