Topic: Access Report to PDF Problem

Hello,

I seem to be having a problem with my Microsoft Access reports being turned into PDF files to be emailed.

To begin with, I am using the following VBA technique to convert my access reports to PDF files. It is a tutorial along with some modules I found on the web:

http://www.mvps.org/access/reports/rpt0011.htm

Essentially, it’s a little windows voodoo that changes your default printer to PDF and then changes it back. I then Email out the PDF to our customers using an email OCX.

Now, this actually works just fine. It is exactly what I need. HOWEVER, I seem to have problems with actual PDF file. When I first reboot the computer, the VBA program will print out these PDF files just fine. However, after I do 3 or 4 of these files, the ones after seem to come out ‘damaged’. That is, bits and pieces of information that was in the report is not showing up in the PDF file. There are gaps and blank spaces. When this happens I sigh and reboot my computer. However, as of late, I have been getting more and more sick of rebooting my computer when this happens.

Has anyone else ever a problem with PDF files where it is not outputting all of the information?

Thanks,

-Edward
