There is a sample ps file in the zip file.I respectively use ghostscrip6.0 , ghostscrip7.04 and distiller to convert the ps file to pdfs.As you see the pdf files are named by their converting program.
But I find the distiller.pdf can be extracted text while the ghost6.0.pdf and ghost7.04.pdf can not. When I use GSview's "Text Extract..." command to extract text from the original ps file,I got the right .txt file. Please tell me why?
I also find the ghost6.0.pdf and ghost7.04.pdf use type3 fonts which don't have standard encoding.I wonder I can extract text from the original ps file by using "Text Extract..." which means the encoding used in ps file is standard(I think),but the ghost6.0.pdf and ghost7.04.pdf can't and use strange encoding,so I think maybe ps2pdf do some encoding conversion. But someone says GS doesn't do conversion. If it don't do conversion why I can't extract text from ghost6.0.pdf or ghost7.04.pdf?
Finally,can I extract the text from either ghost6.0.pdf or ghost7.04.pdf?If I can,how?
Thank you.
