Topic: Color Separations

I have a PDF file which has several colors in it that I am printing to a digital duplicator. These machines only do one color at a time.

The PDF needs to be color separated before it is printed to the Digital duplicator. One way to do this is to make several different PDF files (one for each different color).

I have found a tool called CrackerJack which does do color separations and this works great. But I am trying to have this controlled by a program, not having a user do this.

I have not used the Acrobat API that much. I was wonder how big of a cycle it is to program in color separation or if someone else has done a library of color separation routines that I could use. I am not trying to reinvent the wheel.

If anyone can give some suggestions or has done this before I would like that information.

thanks. - Dan

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
