Ann,
This sounds like a simple "Open File" link using a relative path. This
can be done in Acrobat 5 using the "Link Tool".
The thread, to which you have added this note, refers to opening a PDF,
to a specific page, from HTML. Opening an HTML file locally from a PDF
link is very different and not related to "named destinations".
