Claudia,
Direct Submit to e-mail is extremely flakey. It has too many
imponderabilities to be considered a reliable way to go.
However, if you really, really, really want to do this, you have to
consider the following points:
* Reader must run under a web browser in order to have any web
protocols available. Reader per-se does NOT have the means to handle
any web protocols; this functionality is provided by the PDFViewer
Browser plug-in. There are additional Actions and commands which are
able to call the Browser besides Reader (Weblink and getURL() method).
* Your local configuration must be correct and complete. This means
that you must have specified a browser, and also a mail client. On
Windows, this mail client must be MAPI compliant. Note: this is the
crucial point where the problems start; you have no control over the
local configuration of your users...
* Any function which requires saving the changes will not work with
Reader. This is so by design. You would need at least Approval for
that.
Hope, this can help. (a copy of this message in German version has
been sent in private).
