Hi, my name is Troy Wentz. I live near Sterling Nebraska. I created a 3
community regional website using Acrobat. I know how to create pages with
Acrobat but I don't know how to connect them to my host's server and need
some help. Web designers in my area use HTML not PDFs so they aren't much
help.
What I want is: if a visitor types in our domain name, abworld.net they will
be taken to our regional homepage. If they enter abworld.net/xxx, then they
will be taken to the homepage of a business. Each business has a 3 letter
designation.
I feel I need like a splash page at the beginning before they are taken to
the appropriate PDF file. One that tells them abworld.net uses PDF files,
that they need Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, and if they don't have them, then
ask if they want to be taken to Adobe's site to get their free copy of
Reader. When PDFs become the standard in the future, then I can get rid of
the splash page.
97% of the site is done, but I am a jack-of-all-trades running as an
Independent for (The Last) President of the United States in 2000, and my
intuition tells me I should get an expert to finish the last 3%, instead of
learning how myself, because it needs to be done in the best and most
efficient way. If you can help, let me know. Thank you.
Have a great day,
Troy Wentz
