We are looking for a programmer who could do --
on very short term -- a Windows 9x application
which essentially does the following:
It displays a selection "create new" or "open
existent". The user has to enter a name.
When selecting "create new", the application
creates a copy of a master PDF document and
saves it at a specific location, using the entered
name plus some other information to create an
unique filename, and then opens that newly
created file in Acrobat (Business Tools).
When selecting "open existent", the application
shows a list of PDF documents containing the
entered name, and lets the user select the one to
open.
In addition to that, the application will also search
for a specific file (connected to the user's login
information) on the local hard drive, take its name
and somehow communicate that name to Acrobat,
so that it can be entered into a field. However, the
status of Acrobat is unknown (it can be closed, or it
can be already opened). It would be acceptable, if
these two functionalities would be separated, as
the user must have logged on before starting
Acrobat.
The whole thing is very short term. So, if anyone
out there would have capacity, please respond in
