Dave,
My problem is, that Distiller embeds the fonts of my maps in two different ways:
If I use Postscript-Export of ArcView they are ambedded as type 3 and the font name appears as T1, T2, T3 and so on. Printing good but looking ugly in AcrobatReader.
If I use the Distiller Printer Driver they are embedded as TrueType or Type 1 appearing with their original Font name.
I'm looking for a way to embed the fonts as TrueType ore Type 1 fonts, but using Postscript export.
Printing the Postscript Code in ArcView takes much longer than exporting and is no option to produce automatically hundreds of linked maps.
The other map content (transparent rasters and vectors) are of highest quality, although the exported postscript code is only 1/20 of the printed PS-code.
I need more information on font embedding, to manipulate my exported PostScript-Code to embed the fonts not as type 3.
