As Aandi has said, the email notification isn't going to work. But you might like to check out another way of solving the same problem. See http://www.coptech.com/dps_w.htm for CopTechWest's SmartPDF. They say, "SmartPDF can turn any Adobe Acrobat PDF file into an intelligent, self-updating document. Anytime it’s opened, a SmartPDF checks the Internet and the users' hard drive for the latest version."
