You could try Ghostscript (freeware, GNU license I believe)at http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/index.html which will allow you to take a postscript print file and convert to PDF and various other formats (e.g. tiff, jpeg, etc.) Also available from this site are some utilities (Redmon, GSView) which pipe the postscript code to Ghostscript and do the conversion in the background making it appear almost seamless.
Ghostscript also works as a pretty good RIP if you don't have a postscript printer and is available for the Macintosh.
