To all:
I need some help in publishing my new PDF file on my website so it can be downloaded correctly with a single click for both Mac and Windows users.
One problem I have is that my PDF document is downloaded to my own Macintosh with a plain icon and is not double clickable to the Acrobat Reader. If I convert this to an hqx file it downloads correctly to the mac as a double clickable file but the name is not changed in the download from CCIntro.pdf.hqx to simply CCIntro.pdf.
The second problem is that if the user clicks on the file link the file becomes viewable in the browser window instead of being downloaded to the users computer. I want a plain click to initiate a download and not make the file viewable.
I also need help with the above for Windows users. I'd really appreciate it if someone in this forum could email me the answers to these questions at careercrft@aol.com. Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
Howard
