It's not clear WHEN in your process you are experiencing the
crashes.
Try "batching" your processes - doing all the scanning up
front, then the Capturing, etc, etc. If you are doing this is
quantity, you may wish to consider Acrobat Capture 2.01 (for
Wintel machines only, which is too bad for you).
