Topic: A twist on batch conversion

Here's a twist on the question--converting multiple files of the same name in different directories. The files are all called status.doc, and reside in subdirectories of a \client directory on the network.

For example:

x:\client\a\abc company\status.doc
x:\client\a\avionics co\status.doc

Each .pdf would need to be created where the .doc file is, rather than what Distiller appears to want to do, which is continually overwrite status.doc in a single output directory. Is there any way to automate this?
