First,I use GhostScript7.0'command ps2pdf to convert a .ps file to .pdf file named gs.pdf.Then,I use Acrobat distiller to convert the same file to another .pdf file named ds.pdf.
But when I use the software Enfocus Browser to look up the two pdfs' content,I find the contents stored in gs.pdf are at sixes and sevens while those stored in ds.pdf are readable.
Who can tell me why gs.pdf are not using the standard encoding like ds.pdf? Are all the pdf files produced by GhostScript obey the same encoding? So that I can extract text from pdf files produced by GhostScript.
