Topic: acrobat 4 toolbar display in web browsers

I am working with a company we hired to build an online searchable database of PDFs. The way the files are served precludes the possibility of right-clicking on a link to save the pdf instead of viewing it, so we are relying on the save button on the Acrobat 4 plug-in's toolbar.

In netscape on a pc the toolbar is not displaying by default, so a user must right click on the pdf and choose to "OpenThis" which brings up the toolbar from which the pdf can be saved. Also at this point the save command in the file menu will save the pdf instead of the page html.

Also, on macs, there is no way that i've found to get the toolbar to show up at all unless it's there to begin with.

Is there a way to force the toolbar to display?

thanks for any thoughts

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
