Win95/Win2k/Acrobat (full) 4x and 5.0

I know squat about javascript, and how much of the new Acro 5 can be automated via the batch process/javascript options.

A workflow I have in mind could be greatly improved if I had a way to stamp or annotate a unique random number that was hidden, yet indexable by catalog.

Could a javascript,.... executable via the new batch processes interface, .... be created to gen this unique number?(not mission critical unique - but unique. wouldnt have to be random really either.) Then add this annotation and scan the doc for annotations so it shows up in the annotations pane?

I would need to do this ona daily basis on a folder full of docs - about 100 files per day.
