Anyone else running Paperport 7 with adobe acrobat 5?

After running fine for a few days (or so I think), the evil Doctor has come to visit my ScanSoft PaperPort applications. The only common denominator here seems to be Adobe 5!!! Weird. Two almost identicle machines in my office were fully kosher on 4.0.

Un-install 4x and "clean" install 5.0 - it all seems good. Then baaa'am - Paperport7 wont open and drwatson's. Hrrrmmmm.... So I install 5 the same way on another win2k machine that is very similar. On this other machine - all seems good after the install. Adobe works, paperport seems to be working.... until I attempt to open a PaperPort .max file with the ScanSoft PageViewer (acrobat is installed on the machine but not running) - baaaam! drwatson ppagevw.exe barfs!

Machines running win2k/Paperport7/Acro4 rock along just fine. Something about Acro5 bums my high!!!
