Topic: Acrobat 5 OLE service

Hi All,
I'm trying to create a WinNt service.
I want to personalize a PDF for each staff member on our LAN.
The program I wrote connects via OLE with 'AcroExch.App' from a DOS window
OK, but when I use the same program as a service no connection is made.
To make sure that the OLE stuff was working in my program I connected to
MSWord and Excel OK from DOS and from the service.
When I try to connect to 'AcroExch.App' from the service I do get an
extended error message "The handle is invalid" after the attempt to connect
times out.

I've tried to insert missing environmental variables like ENV{APPDATA} and
the like to force the service to see the information but to no avail.
I've also changed permissions, thinking that this may be the
go though.

Any help most appreciated

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
