Topic: Acrobat plug-in to trap colored text/words

A coworker and myself are developing a plug-in that can trap blue text words in PDFs. Please note that the PDFs we're dealing with were created with Framemaker. The "words" are created with a text-frame in FM and not the Text tool from Acrobat. So far, we have been able to trap words that are horizontal. Our C++ code breaks the document into PDPages, traps the page content (PDEContent), breaks that down to PDEelements and ultimately down to each "run" (see PDETextGetNumRuns)in the element. The trouble arises when the text is aligned vertically. Oddly enough, it appears that Acrobat "reads" the page from the bottom up - thus, reversing the vertical "word". Is this just an Acrobat "feature" ?? Any comments/ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Brian

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
