Hi, i have purchased the ARTS Security plugin who works with Adobe Acrobat, i'm making a web site in wich users could download pdf's, but i need each pdf to have a different password. I have devolepd samples applications in Visual Basic wich do that task and worked great but in asp things are going wrong...

I have the following problem, inside an ASP Page i couldn't open the Acrobat Exchange, if i use the sentence:

Set objAcrobat = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")

The asp times out (more than 40 seconds on a PIII-600Mhz) and it didn't open the acrobat.

If i open manualy the Acrobat and try to create the Arts security object it also fail:

Set cAcroSec = CreateObject("ARTSSecApp.ARTSSecApp")

It's says something like "The ActiveX component couldn't create the object" (translated from spanish).

I developed and ActiveX dll in wich i do the same 2 test that in asp (the 2 before this paragraph) and have the same problem.

In shorts terms my problem is that i couldn't create a Acrobat Object neither a Arts Security Object inside an asp page.

My configuration is Windows 2000 PRO, Personal Web Server (IIS-5 light), Adobe Acrobat 4.05 SP2, Arts Security v1.0.

I appreciate any sugestion, i'm running out of ideas.
Thanks in advance.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
