Topic: auto populate pdf docs on the server?

hi all, I am looking for a way to auto populate pdf files (basically different versions of forms) with data from a database using asp/vb and then show this populated form in the browser.

Basically my database will contain the information e.g. name, address etc and depending on the form the user wants, i would like to auto populate that particular form with the data from the database and display the populated pfd to the user in the browser.

A couple of things come to my mind here : 1. is there anyway to tag the form fields in the pdf to say that e.g. the first name goes here, last name goes here etc. this is because there could be several forms each with a different format

where could i find code samples and reference materials on how to do this.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks, Param

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
