Topic: changing field properties before printing

Have a form which certain fields are filled in from an ASP and are read only. Other fields allow the user to input data and are visually indicated with blue border, beveled and required input field have a background color of yellow. Before printing,
would like the linewidth to be 0, change background color to white and borderstyle to solid so it doesn't show on the print out. After form prints, retain original settings. I have the following code which seems to me should would, but still getting the yellow, blue border etc. upon print out. What am I doing wrong...typical of a beginner with PDFs and Javascripts.
TIA for any help. :-)

for(var i =0;i var fld = this.getField(getNthFieldName(i));
fld.linewidth = 0;
fld.bgcolor = color.white;
fld.borderstyle = border.s;

this.print(true, this.pageNum, this.NumPages, false); //Prints document
this.resetForm(); //reset form
