Topic: Changing text color in form edit fields

I am trying to change the color of the text that appears in a text edit field on a PDF form. I have written the following C code, but when I try to run it I get a run time error (access violation) on the second line:

TextAppearanceP aP;
AFPDFieldGetDefaultTextAppearance(fldP, aP);
PDColorValueRec red; = PDDeviceRGB;
red.value[0] = Int32ToFixed(1);
red.value[1] = 0;
red.value[2] = 0;
aP->strokeColor = red;
AFPDFieldSetDefaultTextAppearance(fldP, aP);

I have not been able to find any relevant code examples in the SDK documentation (or on-line) on how initialise and pass around the various color and text appearance structres, so therefore am not sure if the code I have concocted above is correct!

Thanks in advance for any help.
