Topic: directing to a PDF from CGI app

I have a problem directing to a PDF from my CGI app. At the end of my CGI, I say somethign like...
SendRedirect('http://www.mysite.com/doc.pdf');

The problem I run into is that the brower pops up with a dialog asking to either dowload or open the PDF. Even if I say open the PDF, it retunrs a error. I have a work around in which I create a dummy html web page that contains a HTML link of the PDF. This works fine that it automatically opens the PDF in the browser.

Does anyoen know of a way around this for me? Do I have to set something up on the server, maybe a MIME setting?

thanks
Bill
