Topic: Error opening PDF file on first try

I have recently developed my own 'c' program to create
PDF files from mainframe "lineout" files. It is just basic c code. So far the program works fine on the PC and on the MVS mainframe. I don't use compression yet, but plan to. My problem is this. When I create a PDF file on the mainframe, then use the os390 HTTP Server to serve up the pdf file, the first time I open it using the browser with the adobe reader plugin, it says the file is damaged and cannot be repaired. Now if I just press RELOAD in NETSCAPE the document loads in the reader in its entirety. Now here is the catch. It is only when my document gets to be 22 pages or longer. Anything under that and there are no problems. Also if I save the pdf to the PC or FTP it from the mainframe to the PC and open it using the Acrobat reader by itself, it opens with no errors or any problems. I don't know if this is a server issue or my PDF conversion routine is in error, which I don't think. Also certain versions of Internet Explorer have this similar problem. Any ideas or help would really be appreciated.
