Topic: Error when using server.transfer on PDF files

Instead of using Response.Redirect on our ASP pages, we would like to use Server.Transfer when linking to PDF files. While some PDF files render fine, others return errors such as:

Active Server Pages
error 'ASP 0116'
Missing close of script delimiter
line 854
The Script block lacks the close of script tag
error '8000d001'
line 159

or we get back 'Page Cannot Be Displayed - Internal Server Error.' When we revert back to Response.Redirect, no PDF's have any problems in displaying.

Any suggestions on how we can get the Server.Transfer ASP command to play friendly with all PDF files?

*** For Reference, here is the code we are using ***

1. Create one file with the link:
<a href='/SDIAZ/MSLV/PDFRedirect?docName=ECMSolution.pdf'>ECM on Adobe 5</a>

2. Create the PDFRedirect file to process:

option explicit
dim strdocName
dim strPath

strPath = "/pdfFiles/"
strdocName = strPath & Request.QueryString("docName")

Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"

'Response.Redirect strdocName
