Topic: Framemaker Unix Distiller Settings Inquiry

There are 2 default settings our shop would like to specify for Distilling Unix Framemaker docs to PDF, which we are unable to do at present.

1. On Open set Initial View Magnification to Fit In Window. I believe the coding element is: /Fit

2. On Open set Window Options to Center Window On Screen. The coding element is:

/ViewerPreferences << /CenterWindow true >>

Our current workaround is to Open the Distilled Framemaker PDF in Acrobat, then select File/Document Info/Open/...

[Initial View:] Magnification=Fit in Window (pull-down menu selection)

[Window Options:] Center Window On Screen (selected checkbox)

Does anyone know a way to set these two Distiller parameters? Adobe support said it can't be done with present Distiller options. However, I believe there may be a way to enter an over-ride from the Unix command line, such as -configonly /Fit.

Any suggestions on how to set these two parameters?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
