Hi,

I try to replace a JPEG CMYK image with the following setup in the PDF. It
is not working.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
/Type /XObject
/Subtype /Image
/Name /Im6
/Filter [/FlateDecode ]
/Width 126
/Height 126
/BitsPerComponent 8
/ColorSpace /DeviceCMYK
/Length 38142
>>
stream
filtered data
endstream
endobj

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Also i had one for DCTDecode

/Type /XObject
/Subtype /Image
/Name /Im6
/Filter [/DCTDecode]
/Width 126
/Height 126
/BitsPerComponent 8
/ColorSpace /DeviceCMYK
/Length 38142
>>
stream
filtered data
endstream
endobj

Ok, for the first one - did you decompress the JPEG file and recompress it
with ZLib?

Shan Wrote >>
I am working on this issue now, but i like to get the solution for DCTDcode
first.

Aandi Wrote >>

The second one looks OK if the JPEG file was indeed exactly 126 x 126, and
CMYK, except that the colours will probably be inverted, and you may need to
add
/Decode [1 0 1 0 1 0 1 0] to make it work.

Shan Wrote >>
Followed your advice and added /Decode [1 0 1 0 1 0 1 0] to the Image in the
PDF File. Still no luck. It only transformed the Black Pixels to White. In
my case the width and height of the replacement image is different so I am
updating the /width
and /height values with the new image's dimensions.

Could you please explain me or provide me with the links where I can find
the difference between RGB Images & CMYK Images ? Why is it that I'm able to
modify the RGB images without any problem and not able to do this on CMYK
Images ?? Please help me to overcome this problem.

Many Thanks
Shan
