Topic: Generating Quotes in PDF Format

Hello All!

I have a large client who is looking to me to provide them with a solution to generate a "paper" quote using data from a web-based CRM application. Essentially, I need to pass some information to a PDF form and have it generate the quote and present it to the user.

My first inclination is to develop a Java servlet that can take input and then call some PDF libraries to generate the PDF and build an HTML page with the PDF linked and send the page to the user.

The problem is I can't find any information that confirms/denys this approach.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Steve
