Topic: HELP! - Opening PDF Files from a web browser (IE5x

Here is my situation, I made an ASP page (using FSO) that displays all the PDF files in a directory so you can open them from your browser; the problem is that in *some* machines you can open one document and no problem, but when you try to open a second one (could be a different document or the same again, within the frame or as a pop up window, i tried all that already) opens an empty browser window and the globe (of IE, top-right) keeps going 'round and 'round just as if the document doesn't exist or it's too big and it's waiting for *something* to happen. but (...but) if you close the browser and open up again, and try to open the document, no problem, but if you try a second one, here comes this situation.
those machines (where this situation occurs) are Win2K Pro, using IE5+ and Acrobat Reader 4 (mostly) and 5 (just one). other machines, where this thing doesn't occur are the exact same configuration, since it's the standard in the company.
i thought trying to convince my boss that opening just one window will be enough (but that's a lousy solution, LOL!), so, if you can help me it would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
P.S.: (and now for something completely different), does anybody know what "error reading linearized hint data" mean?, i have one PDF that displays that message (and doesn't open) when i try to open it from IE6 (on Win2K Pro)
