Topic: Inserting Japanese Text into Document info keys

I will preface this by saying that I am quite new to using the Acrobat SDK so I may have missed something entirely but....

I have created a small app using vb that optimizes a pdf, generates thumbnails and is supposed to setInfo values for a given document. This works just fine in English or other European languages but when I am using a Japanese version of Acrobat the text does not come through - it shows up as little boxes instead of text. I can display the text I want to go in there no problem (in stdout, or as a msgbox) but somehow when I use the setInfo() method for the iac the text gets mangled. Is there something I need to do to allow the pdf to accept Japanese characters? (I am running this on a Japanese operating system and the pdf itself is in Japanese so the characters appear there fine, I am at a bit of a loss here.)

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
