Please help me with the following problem.

There is an Excel worksheet and its corresponding PDF file. As one goes down the sheet, the location of a word as reported by the PDF library and as reported by Excel API dont match (both are in points). Any idea why this is happening. There is a gradual increase in the values as one goes down the page. Consequently, a word belonging to say cell A50 is reported by Excel to be belonging to cell A48!! Any kind of
information/suggestions/ideas on the same will be really appreciated.

I am trying to mark text in the PDF file as belonging to the Excel cell which contains it using BMC/EMC operators.

The following is the procedure adopted:

*create a PDF file from an Excel worksheet using PDFWriter or Distiller

*find all the words on a given page in the PDF file using WordFinder

*obtain one word (PDWord object) from the WordFinder

*find the word's bounding box (in points)

*find the center-point of the bounding box.

*query Excel to give the cell name which /contains/ the center-point obtained in the previous step(this value is returned in points)

The cell name thus obtained seems to be going wrong as one proceeds down the page. A word which belongs to cell A50 in the Excel file, now is reported to be belonging to cell A48. However a word belonging to cell A1 is reported correctly!! Any idea why?

If u have any ideas please mail me at BOTH the addresses:

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
