Sorry for the Post to this forum; still looking for any soltn that may help.
Hope someone can help me find a Command Line driven product to do the following...
I have an Oracle Database Report that will generate a PDF file (from Oracle). Embedded within this file, I need to insert various MS WORD Docs - these MS Word Docs are stored in the Oracle DB as binary BLOB data. Also contained within the Report is other Oracle Data.
I cannot embed the MS Word BLOB within the Oracle Report but I can designate the filename or I can create a PDF link to this external file; I can also create a pdf bookmark for this file.
A single report could have multiple MS Word Docs dispersed throughout it.
What we need:
I need to find all occurences of the special text (bookmark or link) within the Oracle Report generated PDF and merge in the actual MSWord doc (or have a command line utility to batch convert the MSword docs to pdf) resulting in a single pdf that is then renumbered.
Any suggestions as to whether there is an existing Product I can use to meet my goals?
This is an Oracle Report
data1 from database
data2 from database
end of report
I can either create special text at the insert location, a link via Oracle Reports for the text , or a bookmark.
My need however is to insert/merge the original MSWord file (or a converted PDF from this file) (abc.doc and abc2.doc) at the physical locations in which they appear in the oracle report pdf... resulting in a final pdf with all pdf's merged and at the proper locations and the final pdf renumbered to appear as a single doc.
Thanks for any response,
